THE MEDIUM, 60 - 90 min.

Hampus Lindwall is a Swedish classical organist and art collector living in Brussels. Every Saturday he takes the train to Paris where he plays in the Saint Esprit church for the masses, funerals and weddings. His spare time is spent on art, very contemporary art; his collection is mostly digital. His life is on a tight schedule with his partner Isabella Ritter running the gallery Lambda Lambda Lambda in Pristina, Kosovo and their 3 year old son. Parallel to the church gigs, concerts and recordings Hampus have to follow the gallery openings and art fairs. And then there is Cory Arcangel, an artist and friend with whom Hampus is tracking the connection between contemporary art and music.

The documentary is partly a portrait of a busy life in a busy world. We will go backstage of the art world, the concert halls and the Catholic Church. But more importantly Hampus is our vehicle to investigate the meaning of classic and modernity, tradition and avant-garde in the 21-century.
